Switzerland welcomed, on Friday, December 3, 2021, the reforms that Morocco has accomplished in various areas under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
Switzerland ‘’welcomes the political, economic and social reforms achieved by the Kingdom of Morocco in various areas, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI,’’ read the joint statement released at the end of the visit carried out by Morocco’s minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates in Bern.
The statement also commended "Morocco’s positive role, dynamic attitude and constructive contribution to the resolution of regional and continental issues," highlighting "the growing role of the Swiss Confederation on the international scene."
In this regard, the same source shed light on the Swiss Confederation’s "significant contribution to the strengthening of public international law, human rights, peace and stability around the world, based on the principles of equality, dialogue, mutual respect and cooperation with other states and international organizations."
The two countries celebrate, this year, the hundredth anniversary of the Swiss diplomatic presence in Morocco, which began in 1921, the statement recalled, while hailing the long friendship between the Swiss Confederation and the Kingdom of Morocco, which is based on mutual respect and dialogue.
